Being in the Presence of God through the worship of the redeemed is about salvation we received from Him who is unseen. We know He exist because the amazing transformation He performed in our lives.
This regeneration of being Born again, is the most influential example of who He is we worship. Redemption, is the outward appearance Jesus’ eternal and internal works in our lives through His Holy Spirit, that He promised we would receive upon the confession of our faith in HIM.

In the beginning God provided the tree of life we were free to consume of it endlessly. Yet, in the same paradise stood the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We were not free to consume of its fruit. We all know why we are here, because even though we have had access to eat of the fruit of life we still chose death.

As it is today, before us stands the truth the cross of Christ, the tree that brought us eternal life. The cross of Christ is surrounded by the vast pollutions of humanities godlessness, yet it still stands in authority. The Cross of Christ stands as the banner of God’s mercy, God’s love, and God’s redemptive will for you.

The Cross is not a symbol but a statement, it alone does not redeem us,  but its meaning alone ushers in to Christ our light. Jesus guides us into God’s presence, when we will worship Him in spirit and in truth, worshipping God in the unified presence of the redeemed.

Don’t honor our respect anything our anybody with more reverence than you are to give God, don’t serve anyone or anything within the same capacity of worship that God desires of you, for He is a jealous God. 
 
Many in todays modern church are void TRUTH in their life, and if they are void of TRUTH in their life, how can they be the kind of worshipers God desires in John 4:23. Today the fragmental chaos of the church has become what Paul describes to Timothy in
II Timothy 4:1-4. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
Their Worship is not in the truth rather there is a narcissistic, self imposed, arousal of ones emotions and a dilution of their convictions. They don’t worship God, they worship their infatuations of their own ideas in who they think God should be. Over the last decade we can observe how these crazes have transformed the church into a #Me movement.
Jesus Says John 4:23 the worshippers the Father seeks are those who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. How do we know the truth if we refuse to have God communicate it to through His word? John Macarthur states in terms of the preaching of the Word, Preaching is a necessity in worship II Timothy 4:1-4  yet people crave spiritual junk food the stuff that makes them feel good. When all along the pastor is busy ushering people to eat their vegetables TRUTH.

God Father requires that in faith We worship Him and Him only, for parents imagine the outrage you would have if your children (fathers your seed), mothers the (fruit of your womb) turned and said your not my dad, or your not my mom. What if your children went a gave the love and respect, honor and tribute to another despite the love and blessings you showered down on them.

​Harness the reaction you would have, and parallel that to, our relationship with God the Father. Then ask yourself, is there something, a situation our someone else that gets more of your worship than the Father who gave you life, who blessed you, who loves you,  deserves?
 
The challenge for you today and throughout the week as we begin our venture into the sermon series How to Be in the Presence of God, is to extinguish that deception you have been captivated by. The best way to extinguish it is to recognize it (Be Convicted of It) and pray and ask God to deliver you. Enter his presence in the right heart and mind in worship. ]]>Mon, 13 Jan 2020 17:03:03 GMThttp://vitalitychurch.org/blogvital-truth/glorious-grace (Read) Ephesians 1: 4-10, In reading this passage of scriptures on a rainy January Saturday morning, revising the prompts of the message today, one particular revelation provided the foundation of the structure of scripture in which we read today, the first part coming in verse 3, Praise be to the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a declaration, imagine if this was the news headline alert we receive on our phones and televisions, every minute of every day attention this a Gospel News Alert- Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
How would our lives be transformed with such an attention to Praising God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! How much would fear die and worries cease, how many mountains moved, how would our motivations and reactions be influenced by God’s grace. How would we respond?
Many times, in this life we lose focus, Praise to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ becomes a response to and pat on the back to the ole guy upstairs when things go our way. This loved one is a hypocrisy and we are all guilty of it! We walk into the security of a free nation into the wealth of a vehicle into the blessing of a job, receiving the blessing of income, return home to the blessing of a structure with a fridge and entertainment and warmth and security.
But how many walk out and in with their heads down because things aren’t going your way and it can be a list of problems life throws at us, but yet we miss the crucial part of our faith When Jesus Son of God the Father says John 16:33 in this world you will have trouble but take heart I have overcome the world.
That’s when our Life alert must go off Attention Attention Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Yet one may respond how can I when things seem to mount up against me, Jesus says Matthew 17:20  with faith as small as a mustered seed you can say to that mountain move and it will move.

I knew as a child that starting fire was wrong, and I came to know its consequence often at the discipline of my parents. Yet, I could not escape the enticement to keep me from indulging in fire’s mysterious ways; That out of nothing appears at the flick of flint, a roaring inferno. I would find every hiding spot to fascinate myself with fires seducing, hypnotic-flickering presence.

One day, when I returned home from school, with no intentions to indulge in my fascination. That quickly changed with an open of a kitchen drawer. Before me dazzling like a 24 karat diamond, was Bic lighter; Confession came with a swift and flaming scare.
 
I embraced the Bic. In the corner of the living stood a tall vase with a bundle of cat tails dry and ready to be lit. In the 80s cat tails were often sprayed with hair spray to preserve them for indoor placement. With the flick of a Bic the cat tails went up in flames turning the corner of the living room into a raging inferno. Alarmed, I ran to the kitchen to grab water, first with the spray hose that did not reach, then to pots of water.   The home filled with smoke, and the ashy remnants of cat tails laying in a blackened vase, I attempted to cover up my wrongdoing but this time there was no covering it up. My wrongdoing was not concealable this time. Yet, I still attempted to escape the inevitable moment of confession.

Minutes later, the front doorknob turned and in walked my dad, from his day of work. The look on my dad was not surprised, not angry, not disappointed, rather grateful I am sure, that I was alive and the house was not burnt down. I could not hide any longer, only confess.

The conversation that eve was one of the most merciful grace filled conversations I ever had with my dad. It was upon this conversation my fascination with fire gave way to love and mercy. Fascination with fire became an enemy of the Love and mercy I received from my dad that day. I confessed, and my fascination died this day because of the love and mercy I received from my dad.

1 John 1:8-10 teaches "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us" 

God the Father is ready to shower you with forgiveness, love and mercy, this love and mercy will drive us to repentance, will put to death our fascinations and drive us to live life to the fullness of His grace.
